My name is Gareth Botha. I'm a 25 year old graphic / environment designer and artist. I was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and moved to Atlanta, GA, when I was 14 years old, and have been living here ever since. I have a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with a concentration on graphic design from Kennesaw State University, where I graduated cum laude. Presently, I am working as a graphic designer and environment designer (you can see my design portfolio here) while doing freelance illustration work, primarily in the music industry, on the side. As a designer and artist, I have worked with an extensive list of high profile clients, including Top-10 bestselling U.S. rock group Seether, the Coca-Cola company, and more.
Although educated in all art forms, digital art is my primary focus and my passion. I have been actively engaged in creating digital art in some form or another for the past 8 years.
While this site will serve as a visual "diary" of sorts - the platform from which i express myself creatively - my professional design portfolio serves as a more refined, constrained archive of my work experience, and will be more narrowly focused on my experiences and accomplishments as a graphic and environment designer.
